Random thoughts on ATT's early termination fee

I just happened to look at the fine print on ATT Wireless website. I realized that the changes to the early termination fees have come into effect. The fine print reads:

No early termination fee if cancelled in first 30 days. Thereafter, the fee will begin at $175 per device and decrease by $5 each month for the term of the agreement. Some agents impose additional fees.

Oh, and that reminds me of one more thing―buying from an agent. Unless you know what you are doing or know your agent really well, please buy your phone (contract) from one of ATT's corporate stores. That way, if you need to claim the 30-day refund in some other city, in some other state, you still can (of course, conditions apply). Ciao!
